Withdrawal & Refund Policy

Purpose

The Student Withdrawal from Training and Refund policy describes how ISET INSTITUTE fulfils its statutory obligations towards informing students and staff regarding the provision of fee refunds in the case of a student’s withdrawal from a program.

Fees and charges are as per the ISET Institute refund policy and procedures and Fees and Charges regulations, current at the time of the issued tax invoice/receipt. Student money are generally not refundable except in the circumstances listed in this policy.

Policy Refunds will usually be generated by ISET INSTITUTE within 15 working days of the Refund Application being received by the Student Support Services team. 

Full Refunds:

All fees are available only where:

  • ISET INSTITUTE cancels delivery or fails to delivery any course or unit
  • ISET INSTITUTE fails to provide any of the agreed services, e.g. ISET INSTITUTE reschedules a class that is not suitable for the student, or where the class has been filled and cannot take extra students.
  • In the unlikely event of the closure of the Institute students enrolled in a scheduled course may be entitled to a full or partial refund. This decision will be made by the CEO.

Partial Refunds:

Are available in the following circumstances:

A fee of $150.00 (or all fees paid less a charge of $150.00) will apply where a formal request for withdrawal by submission of a completed Withdrawal form from either a full course is received a minimum of three (3) full business days prior to the course commencement. The withdrawal date is to be the date that ISET INSTITUTE receives Withdrawal form.

  • A refund of up to $100.00 will be paid by ISET Institute to students who attend up to the first four (4) weeks of training and then decide not to continue with the course. Materials and other fees to be refunded will be determined on a case-by-case basis by the Group Leader – Training Support Services.
  • In exceptional or extraordinary circumstances which has prevented or prevents the student’s attendance a full refund may be granted. This will be determined on application in writing by the CEO.

Short courses or Workshops:

 A full refund will apply only to any student who has enrolled in a short course/s and has submitted a completed Student Withdrawal form that has been received by ISET INSTITUTE a minimum of 48 prior to the course commencement. The withdrawal date is to be the date that ISET Institute receives Student Withdrawal form.

ISET Institute may:

  • request further information or evidence to confirm that you are the person entitled to receive the refund or give a direction to pay the refund;
  • Bpay the refund by bank or company cheque (in case of refund within Australia) or by international bank cheque; or
  • pay the refund to a bank account by direct credit (in case of refund within Australia) or by PayPal, but only if you provide evidence that the bank account exists.
  • All refunds will be made in Australian currency only, unless ISET Institute Bank is unable to do so in which case the refund will be made in the equivalent United States of America currency calculated using the Bank’s exchange rate for the relevant date of transfer.
  • ISET Institute is not responsible for currency exchange rate fluctuations, delays or loss of refund in transit as a result of incorrect information provided by you.
  • You agree that ISET Institute may change this policy at any time and the policy to be used to determine whether you receive a refund will be the policy applicable at the time you give notice of cancellation or withdraw enrolment in a Course.

IMPORTANT:

This agreement and the availability of complaints and appeals processes, does not remove the right of the student to take action under Australia’s consumer protection laws.

How to withdraw from a course and get a refund.

  • Complete the ISET Institute Application for Refund Request Form. The ISET Institute Application for Refund Request Form is available from the Student Support Team. If you are under the age of 18 years your legal guardian will need to complete and sign the form.
  • Attach all relevant documents to the ISET Institute Application for Refund Request Form. You should attach documents supporting the reason for your withdrawal and confirming your identity as well as a Refund Request Form.
  • Hand the completed forms to Student Support Team or email to: info@isetinstitute.com.
  • Please make sure that your student number and current contact details (email address, mobile phone number) are on the form. Please sign and date the ISET Institute Application for Refund Request Form before handing it in. Your form will NOT be processed if it is not signed and dated.
  • ISET Institute will process your completed ISET Institute Application for Refund Request Form and assess whether you are entitled to a refund based on our policy. ISET Institute may ask for further information or documentary evidence. Please note that incomplete Student Course Withdrawal form may delay the processing of the ISET Institute Application for Refund Request Form and payment of refunds.
